Bio
Mauricio Garcia is the founder of the Law Office of Mauricio Garcia, PLLC, a practice focusing primarily on federal criminal defense, immigration, and personal injury.
Born in Brownsville, TX and raised in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Mr. Garcia understands firsthand the challenges people face in border communities. A reliable attorney, his main goal is to achieve justice for his clients and help them find their voice within the judicial system.
Mr. Garcia holds his Bachelor of Arts in Government, History, International Relations, and Latin American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, his Masters in Public Administration from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and his Juris Doctorate from the historic Texas Southern University – Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Garcia served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Rolando Olvera, where he assisted with civil and complex criminal cases. Mr. Garcia’s experience in federal court prepared him to zealously represent his clients in any type of judicial setting.
Mr. Garcia is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Bar College, and the Cameron County Bar Association.
